About the author
Normandi Ellis is the author of Awakening Osiris: The Spiritual Keys to the Egyptian Book of the Dead, reissued by New Page Books for its thirty-fifth anniversary in 2023, and of Imagining the World Into Existence: An Ancient Egyptian Manual of Consciousness (Bear & Company, 2012). Awakening Osiris presents a poetic rendering of the Egyptian Book of the Dead framed as a work of spiritual literature as much as translation, and is described on its cover as having been read approvingly by other writers in the field. Imagining the World Into Existence turns to the language and symbolism ancient Egyptian priests used around creation, consciousness, and ritual. Both books are shelved under occult philosophy and are aimed at readers drawn to Egyptian mythology and mystery traditions as a spiritual and literary subject rather than as a strictly historical one.
