About the author
Melusine Draco is a prolific contributor to Moon Books' Pagan Portals series, with a catalogue of twenty-five titles focused on traditional and seasonal witchcraft. Books such as Pagan Portals - Breath of Spring (2023), Pagan Portals - Harvest Home (2022), and Pagan Portals - Sumer Is Icumen In (2022) work through the pagan wheel of the year one festival at a time, pairing folklore and historical background with practical suggestions for marking each season. Other titles broaden the range: The Witch's Book of Simples (2022) covers domestic folk medicine built from single-herb preparations, Pagan Portals - Sexual Dynamics in the Circle (2021) addresses gender and magical practice within Craft settings, and Pagan Portals - The Inner-City Path (2020) applies pagan observance to urban daily life. Across the series, the tone is that of an experienced Old Craft practitioner writing short, accessible guides for readers already inside the tradition.
