About the author
Mary Mueller Shutan is the author of four Findhorn Press titles on body-based spiritual practice: The Body Deva, Managing Psychic Abilities, The Spiritual Awakening Guide, and Working with Kundalini. The Body Deva sets out a method for working directly with what the book calls body consciousness to address physical, emotional, and mental concerns. Managing Psychic Abilities is addressed to people who identify as sensitive or psychic, offering practical strategies for managing the effects the book associates with heightened sensitivity. The Spiritual Awakening Guide and Working with Kundalini both use kundalini as a framework, describing stages of spiritual awakening and the physical and emotional experiences that can accompany them. Across the four books, Shutan writes for readers already engaged with concepts of energy work, psychic sensitivity, and kundalini, offering structured, stage-based guides rather than introductory material.
