About the author
Danu Forest writes on Celtic paganism, druidry, and folk witchcraft across multiple titles for Moon Books and Llewellyn Publications, describing herself in her books as a Druid witch and Celtic shaman. Titles here range from The Cunning Folk's Book of Cottage Witchcraft, a collection of spells and charms rooted in folk magic, to Celtic Tree Magic, which covers ogham divination and tree lore, The Magical Year, structured around the eight festivals of the Celtic seasonal wheel, and shorter Pagan Portals volumes on the goddess Cerridwen and the god Gwyn ap Nudd. Across these books Forest draws on Welsh and Irish mythology, medieval literature, and druidic and shamanic practice to build seasonal and ritual frameworks for readers. The work is aimed at practicing pagans and druids seeking source-grounded material on Celtic deities, festivals, and folk traditions rather than general introductions to witchcraft.
