About the author
Chris Allaun has written for Moon Books on death work and land-based witchcraft. A Guide of Spirits: A Psychopomp's Manual for Transitioning the Dead to the Afterlife (2021) sets out a psychopomp practice, describing energetic and magical techniques for guiding the dying and the recently dead toward the ancestors. Otherworld: Ecstatic Witchcraft for the Spirits of the Land (2020) covers ecstatic techniques for contacting spirits associated with particular places and landscapes, offering practical tools alongside a broader account of otherworld cosmology. Both books address practitioners already working within contemporary witchcraft or shamanic traditions who want structured material on death, spirit contact, and land-based ritual, rather than an introductory or historical treatment of witchcraft.
