About the author
Walter Mercado (1932-2019) was a Puerto Rican astrologer, television personality and one of the most recognizable Spanish-language media figures of his era, delivering daily horoscope segments across Latin America and the United States for decades and later the subject of the Netflix documentary "Mucho Mucho Amor." The books on this list draw on that public persona: "Mundo secreto de Walter Mercado," published in Spanish by Rayo in 2010, expands on material from his two-volume "Enciclopedia" and mixes personal experience with astrological content, while "Beyond the Horizon: Visions of a New Millennium," from Warner Books, presents his forecasts for the era succeeding what he termed the Age of Pisces. Readers who followed Mercado's televised horoscopes will recognize the same warm, expansive voice in print. The Spanish-language title will require Spanish reading ability; the Warner Books title is in English.
