About the author
Vic Kovacs writes nonfiction for young readers on haunted places, part of a Crabtree Publishing Company series that pairs regional ghost lore with basic historical background. Titles in this catalogue include "Haunted Towns and Villages," "Haunted Castles and Forts," and "Haunted Churches and Graveyards," each surveying reported hauntings at a category of site around the world. The books are written in an accessible, narrative style for a school and library audience, presenting eyewitness accounts and historical records side by side and encouraging readers to weigh the debunked against the unexplained rather than treating every story as settled fact. They belong to a broader children's nonfiction line on the paranormal rather than to adult ghost-hunting or occult reference, and they emphasize historical context as much as the ghost stories themselves.
