About the author

Tres Iniciados, or Three Initiates, is the collective pseudonym under which The Kybalion was first published in the United States in 1908; it is not the name of a single author. The catalogue lists two Spanish-language editions of that work, El Kybalión (Alejandro Volnie, 2014) and El Kybalion (Editorial Lectorum, 2013), both presenting the book as a compendium of Hermetic philosophy said to descend from the teachings attributed to Hermes Trismegistus in ancient Egypt and Greece. The text sets out seven core hermetic principles as a framework for understanding the universe, mind, and the self, and has circulated for over a century as an entry point into Western esoteric and occult philosophy. These editions serve Spanish-speaking readers approaching Hermeticism for the first time, rather than specialists, and are commonly read alongside other foundational occult texts of the same tradition.
