About the author
Tammy Billups is the author of two books on the spiritual dimension of animal companionship, both published by Bear & Company: Animal Soul Contracts: Sacred Agreements for Shared Evolution (2020) and Soul Healing with Our Animal Companions: The Hidden Keys to a Deeper Animal-Human Connection (2018). Both titles, catalogued under occult-philosophy, approach the bond between people and their animals as a framework for spiritual growth, proposing that animals' physical or behavioral issues are connected to a shared process of soul development with their human companions. Animal Soul Contracts received a 2021 Coalition of Visionary Resources Gold Award, and Soul Healing received the same award in 2020, according to the publisher's descriptions. The two books are directed at readers who keep companion animals and are drawn to a spiritually framed account of that relationship, rather than at a veterinary or behavioral-science audience.
