About the author
Susan Levitt is the author of several books on Taoist and Chinese divinatory traditions published by Destiny Books. Taoist Feng Shui: The Ancient Roots of the Chinese Art of Placement traces feng shui back to Taoist systems of astrology, yin-yang theory, and the five elements, aiming to give readers the philosophical background needed to apply the practice to home and workplace. Taoist Astrology: A Handbook of the Authentic Chinese Tradition covers Chinese astrology's origins as a divinatory science with a long history of influence in China. The Complete Tarot Kit, published by U.S. Games Systems, takes up a different tradition, pairing pocket editions of the Rider-Waite and Crowley Thoth tarot decks with an illustrated guidebook aimed at beginner and intermediate readers. Across her books, Levitt writes as an introducer of established Asian and Western divinatory systems rather than as an innovator of new ones.
