About the author
Sophie Saint Thomas is a journalist and self-described witch whose books braid magical practice with sex positivity and popular culture. Her writing has appeared in outlets such as Vice, Cosmopolitan, and Playboy, and her books extend that beat into witchcraft: Weed Witch (2023) is a spellbook and guide to cannabis in magical and wellness practice, while Sex Witch and Glamour Witch apply occult technique to sexuality, self-protection, and personal style. The tone across her work is frank and unapologetic, treating pleasure, fashion, and desire as legitimate subjects for ritual rather than incidental to it. Saint Thomas writes for readers already drawn to witchcraft as a living practice rather than a historical subject, blending spellwork with practical advice on love, lust, and everyday glamour. Her books, published by Running Press and Weiser, sit within a wave of contemporary witchcraft writing aimed at reclaiming taboo subjects, including sex, drugs, and vanity, as sites of personal power.
