About the author
Shelli Timmons writes illustrated ghost-story books for children and general readers, published by Arcadia Children's Books and Arcadia. Her titles, including Ghostly Tales of Hotels and Getaways of New Mexico (2022), The Ghostly Tales of Colorado's Front Range (2021), and Ghostly Tales of Denver (2021), collect regional ghost stories and local legends tied to specific hotels, courthouses, mansions, and public buildings across New Mexico and Colorado. The books are framed as accessible, family-friendly introductions to local haunted history rather than investigative or scholarly accounts, presenting stories about wandering phantoms and haunted landmarks in a light, narrative tone suited to younger readers. Several titles appear across both children's and general spiritualism lines from the same publisher, suggesting overlapping editions of the same material. Timmons's work serves readers looking for regional ghost lore as a gateway to local history rather than serious paranormal research.
