About the author
Shawn Leonard is an Indigenous Mi'kmaq psychic medium and the host of the television program Spirit Talker. His memoir, Spirit Talker: Indigenous Stories and Teachings from a Mi'kmaq Psychic Medium, published by Hay House, combines an account of his reconnection with his Mi'kmaq heritage with material on developing intuition and psychic ability, and was reported as a bestseller on publication. His follow-up, Walking with Your Spirit Totem Animals: Discovering the Four Animals That Guide You Through Life, extends this work into animal guide practice, describing four totem animals said to correspond to the stages of childhood, youth, adulthood, and beyond. Both books are grounded in Leonard's Indigenous background and personal history as a medium, and are aimed at readers interested in Indigenous spiritual perspectives on mediumship and animal guidance rather than general psychic-development guides.
