About the author
Sharlyn Hidalgo is the author of three books on Celtic tree lore published by Llewellyn Publications between 2010 and 2021: The Healing Power of Trees, Celtic Tree Rituals, and Celtic Tree Ogham. Together they form a sustained body of work on the Celtic Ogham tree alphabet and calendar, moving from an introductory survey of the fifteen trees associated with the Celtic Tree Calendar in her earliest book to ritual ceremonies organized around the thirteen moon months in her second, and finally to a focused study of the Ogham's vowel letters and additional forfeda characters in her most recent title. Her books combine meditation, ritual instruction, and material on tree symbolism and mythology, aimed at readers with an established interest in Celtic-inspired nature spirituality and Ogham divination rather than a general audience new to the subject.
