About the author
Rachel S. Roberts is the author of two titles published by Moon Books: Pantheon – The Romans: An Introductory Guide to Ancient Roman Religion and Pagan Portals – Lupa, part of the Pagan Portals series. The first is a short introductory survey of Roman religious practice, covering its deities, beliefs, and sacred sites; the second focuses on Lupa, the she-wolf figure tied to Rome's founding myth, tracing her from wet nurse to goddess within contemporary Pagan devotional writing. Both books belong to Moon Books' compact, accessible "Portals" and introductory-guide formats, aimed at readers new to Roman polytheism or looking for a focused, single-deity study rather than an academic history. They suit Pagan and polytheist practitioners, students of classical religion, and readers building a working knowledge of Roman deities for ritual or study purposes.
