About the author
Philip Solomon is credited with "The A-Z Spiritualism Dictionary" and a series of regional ghost-story collections published by History Press, including "Haunted Staffordshire," "Haunted Black Country," and "Haunted Telford." The dictionary sets out to define the terminology used in Spiritualism and the wider field of psychic and paranormal research for a general readership. The Staffordshire, Black Country, and Telford titles instead gather local ghost stories and reports of hauntings tied to specific English towns and districts, mixing well-known tales with accounts that had not previously appeared in print. Together the books place Solomon within the British regional-hauntings genre, writing for readers interested in local history filtered through ghost lore as much as in Spiritualism as a subject in its own right.
