About the author
Penny Billington is a Druid author publishing with Llewellyn Publications, and her books describe themselves as written from direct practice rather than external study. The Path of Druidry: Walking the Ancient Green Way, from 2011, sets out a structured course in Druidry grounded in the natural cycle of the seasons. Nine Ways to Charm a Dryad: A Magical Adventure to Connect with the Spirit of Trees, from 2022, narrows the focus to building a relationship with an individual tree spirit through meditation, writing prompts and art projects. A further title, The Wisdom of Birch, Oak, and Yew: Connect to the Magic of Trees for Guidance & Transformation, is credited to a Druid the catalogue describes as having more than twenty years of practice. Across the three books Billington writes consistently about trees as the central image of Druid practice, addressing readers who want a practical, exercise-based introduction to Druidry rather than a historical or comparative study.
