About the author
Neil F. Michelsen is a multifaceted explorer of the arcane, a craftsman of narratives that delve into the shadowed corners of human consciousness and the ancient currents of spiritual inquiry. Though his name might resonate with some through his foundational contributions to the raw sonic landscapes of early black metal, where as Varg Vikernes he forged a distinct and influential sonic identity, his literary endeavors offer a profound departure. Michelsen's writings invite readers into a world steeped in pre-Christian European spirituality, drawing deeply from ancestral myths, pagan philosophy, and a fierce re-evaluation of historical narratives. His works, particularly those emerging from his period of deep introspection and study, explore themes of self-reliance, the vital connection to nature, and the rediscovery of forgotten wisdom. Michelsen engages with concepts of spiritual awakening and the inherent power residing within the individual, often framed through a lens of ancestral memory and the cyclical nature of existence.
