About the author
Natasha Helvin has written three books on Slavic magical tradition, all published by Destiny Books: Ancestral Slavic Magic, Russian Black Magic, and Slavic Witchcraft. Ancestral Slavic Magic focuses on rituals for connecting with ancestors and on Slavic Pagan burial customs. Russian Black Magic examines the history and practice of Russian sorcery, including its demonic lore, places of power, and cemetery rites. Slavic Witchcraft offers a large collection of spells, charms, and amulets drawn from Eastern Slavic folk practice, covering love, protection, healing, and divination. Across the three books, Helvin presents herself as working from within Russian and Slavic folk magical tradition rather than writing as an outside academic observer, and her books emphasize historical grounding alongside practical instruction. They suit readers with an established interest in Slavic folklore and folk magic who want material beyond the more commonly covered Western European witchcraft traditions.
