About the author
Nancy Du Tertre describes herself in her books as an attorney turned psychic, and her work moves between memoir and instruction on psychic and paranormal subjects. "Psychic Intuition: Everything You Ever Wanted to Ask But Were Afraid to Know" (2012, New Page Books) recounts her own path into psychic work after years of study and training, styling herself "the Skeptical Psychic." "How to Talk to an Alien" (2015, New Page Books) surveys the typology of UFO close encounters, building on categories first proposed by astronomer J. Allen Hynek, and extends into alien abduction accounts. Her forthcoming "The Cult of the Occult: Falling Down the Russian Rabbit Hole" (2026, White Crow Books) describes her time training with Russian psychokinesis researchers in St. Petersburg. Across the three, Du Tertre writes as a first-person investigator of psychic and paranormal phenomena, pairing personal narrative with a self-consciously skeptical framing of her subject.
