About the author
Marcela Lobos is the author of Awakening Your Inner Shaman: A Woman's Journey of Self-Discovery Through the Medicine Wheel, its updated edition, and The Sacred Andean Codes, all published by Hay House. Her books draw on Andean shamanic teachings and the Munay-Ki rites, presenting a structured path of healing and initiation organized around the medicine wheel and adapted for a Western readership. Awakening Your Inner Shaman is framed as a personal account of her own path alongside instruction for readers, while The Sacred Andean Codes sets out ten specific initiations intended to address past wounds and support ongoing spiritual development. The books are written in the first person and combine narrative with practical exercises, positioning Andean shamanism as a living tradition rather than a historical subject. They are aimed at readers already drawn to shamanic and energy-based practice who are looking for a guided, step-by-step approach rather than an anthropological or comparative treatment.
