About the author
Luke Eastwood is an Irish horticulturist and writer on Druidic and Celtic spiritual tradition, published by Moon Books. The Druid Garden: Gardening for a Better Future, Inspired by the Ancients draws on historical and contemporary gardening practice to propose an alternative to industrial farming and GM agriculture, rooted in respect for the natural world and informed by druidic tradition. His other book, The Druid's Primer, attempts a systematic collation of druidic knowledge drawn from verifiable ancient sources and surviving Celtic traditions, modeled loosely on the medieval Irish Scholar's Primer, and intended as both a reference for practicing druids and an introduction for newcomers. Eastwood's horticultural background gives his writing on gardening a practical, hands-on quality distinct from purely devotional Pagan literature, while his Primer aims at a more scholarly, source-based treatment of druidry. His books suit readers interested in ecological gardening and in structured, historically grounded approaches to Druid practice.
