About the author
Ludovica Squirru is an Argentine astrologer and one of Latin America's best-known authors on the Chinese horoscope. Her long-running annual series, including Horóscopo Chino 2019, Horóscopo Chino 2018 and Horóscopo Chino 2016, all published by Urano, offers yearly predictions organized around the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac, combined with reflections on the year's dominant element. According to her publisher, her interest in the subject developed after a six-month trip through China, during which she studied I Ching with Taoist masters, sinologists and Feng Shui astrologers. Squirru is known for presenting her forecasts in a literary, narrative style, using poetry and metaphor rather than dry technical prediction, which has helped make her horoscope books an annual fixture for many Spanish-language readers. Her books, written in Spanish, are aimed at general readers looking for accessible, yearly guidance framed through the Chinese zodiac rather than at students of technical Chinese astrology.
