About the author
Lars Muhl is a Danish musician and writer who turned from a career in rock music to spiritual writing following a period of illness he describes as a turning point in his life. He is best known for the O Manuscript trilogy, published in English by Watkins Publishing, which recounts his encounter with an old Spanish manuscript and his subsequent study of Essene and Gnostic teachings connected to Mary Magdalene and Jesus, collected across volumes including The Seer and The Grail. His other books, including The Gate of Light and The Sacred Numbers of Initiation, extend this material into practical numerology and healing exercises drawn from what he presents as Essene tradition, while The Wisdom of a Broken Heart retells the same themes in verse. Muhl's work sits in the contemporary mystic-teacher tradition, blending personal narrative, esoteric history, and instructional material for readers drawn to Western mystery traditions.
