About the author
Lara Vesta writes about ritual and rite of passage from a feminist, earth-based perspective. Her book Year of the Dark Goddess: A Journey of Ritual, Renewal & Rebirth (Weiser Books, 2024) frames difficult life transitions through the archetype of the Dark Goddess, offering embodied rituals, writing prompts, and seasonal self-care practices meant to be worked through across a full year. Wild Soul Runes: Reawakening the Ancestral Feminine, also from Weiser Books, approaches the runes as a feminine-coded system, pairing original translations of traditional rune poems with exercises for readers building their own practice. Across both titles the emphasis is on personal, hands-on engagement with symbol and ritual rather than historical or academic study, aimed at readers already working within contemporary witchcraft and goddess-centered traditions who want structured, seasonal material to build a sustained practice around.
