About the author
Kenny Abdo is the author of a series of short nonfiction titles for young readers published by Fly!, an imprint aimed at hi-lo (high interest, low reading level) audiences. Titles including Haunted Asylums, Haunted Battlefields, Haunted Houses, Haunted Hotels, Haunted Prisons, and Witches each survey a single paranormal subject through simple text, photographs, a glossary, and an index, and are aligned to educational standards for classroom and library use. The books favor breadth over depth, introducing young readers to the history and popular-culture presence of each topic rather than offering in-depth analysis. Together they form a cohesive series suited to school and library collections serving reluctant or developing readers with an interest in ghost stories, witches, and the paranormal. No further biographical information about Abdo is given in the available material.
