About the author
Kelle Bandea is the author of three titles in Moon Books' Pagan Portals series, published in 2025: Pagan Portals - Modron, Pagan Portals - Aine: Goddess of the Sun, Fairy Queen of Ireland, and Pagan Portals - Mabon: Discovering the Celtic God of Hunting, Healing and Harp. Each short volume focuses on a single Celtic deity, examining Modron as a goddess of fertility, healing, grief, and ancestral memory, Aine as a sun and fertility goddess tied to midsummer and harvest celebrations, and Mabon as an ambiguous figure poised between sun god and harvest festival. The books combine mythological background with suggestions for contemporary devotional or ritual work, in keeping with the Pagan Portals format of compact, accessible introductions to individual deities and concepts. They are aimed at readers building a Celtic-focused Pagan practice who want a concise starting point for engaging with specific gods and goddesses.
