About the author
Kathryn Walker is the author of several titles in Crabtree Publishing's series for young readers, including Mysterious Predictions, Mysteries of the Mind, and The Mystery of the Ghosts of Flight 401, all published around 2008 and 2009 by Crabtree Classics. The books introduce middle-grade and secondary readers to well-known cases in paranormal lore, from claimed premonitions of events like Lincoln's assassination to reported psychic phenomena and the recurring ghost sightings associated with Eastern Air Lines Flight 401. Each title presents both believers' claims and skeptical or scientific perspectives, framing the subject matter as a survey of unexplained phenomena rather than an endorsement of any explanation. Written in an accessible, illustrated format typical of educational nonfiction series, the books serve school and library readers looking for an introductory, balanced overview of paranormal claims rather than in-depth investigation.
