About the author

Karen Vogel is an artist and co-creator, with Vicki Noble, of the Motherpeace Tarot, a round seventy-eight-card deck first published in the early 1980s that reworked traditional tarot imagery around goddess-centered and feminist themes. The catalogue lists the full-size Motherpeace Round Tarot Deck alongside two versions of the compact Mini Motherpeace edition, each paired with an accompanying guidebook explaining the deck's circular card format and its departure from conventional, male-dominated tarot iconography. Motherpeace balances its feminist emphasis with the inclusion of male figures within its symbolism, and the deck's distinctive round shape and primitive-style artwork have made it one of the more recognizable feminist tarot decks in wide circulation. These products are aimed at tarot readers and collectors interested in alternative and women-centered approaches to the tarot tradition.
