About the author
Joshua P. Warren is an American paranormal researcher and author known for treating ghost investigation as a field requiring documented method and evidence rather than anecdote alone. How to Hunt Ghosts, published by Atria Books, lays out basic techniques for novice investigators, from equipment use to research protocols, framed explicitly as scientific in approach. And the Cat Came Back, published by Rosen Young Adult, turns to animal hauntings specifically, collecting reported encounters with spectral pets alongside discussion of cryptozoological figures such as the Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot. Warren has built a public profile through paranormal investigation and media appearances over several decades, and his books are aimed at readers curious about ghost hunting as a hobby or field of inquiry, particularly newcomers wanting a structured introduction. His writing stays close to reported case material and investigative method rather than theoretical or religious explanations of hauntings.
