About the author
Jeffrey Wolf Green was an American astrologer credited with founding Evolutionary Astrology, an approach that reads the birth chart, and particularly the position of Pluto, as a record of the soul's development across multiple lifetimes. His two-volume Pluto series, published by the Wessex Astrologer, sets out this method in detail: Volume 1, The Evolutionary Journey of the Soul, lays out the core theory of Pluto as an indicator of psychological and spiritual evolution, while Volume 2, The Soul's Evolution Through Relationships, applies the same framework to synastry and relationship charts. First released decades before these revised editions, the books became foundational texts within evolutionary astrology and are still used to train practitioners in the method. Green's writing is dense and technique-focused, aimed at astrologers already familiar with chart interpretation rather than beginners.
