About the author
Jamie Della is a practicing witch and author whose books focus on contemporary witchcraft as a hands-on craft rather than an abstract belief system. A Box of Magick: A Guided Journey to Crafting a Magickal Life Through Witchcraft, Ritual Herbalism, and Spellcrafting, published by St. Martin's Essentials and Sounds True in 2023, presents herbalism, ritual, and spellwork as an accompanied practice guided by two priestesses. Her earlier book, The Book of Spells: The Magick of Witchcraft, issued by Ten Speed Press in 2019, offers fifty spells alongside explanations of the tools and traditions behind them, pitched at readers new to Craft practice. Both books favor practical instruction over theory, walking readers through rituals and correspondences step by step. Della's work sits within the popular how-to strand of Wiccan and witchcraft publishing, aimed at beginners seeking an accessible entry point into ritual practice rather than at students of witchcraft's history or scholarship.
