About the author
J S Gordon is the author of a series of books on ancient Egyptian esoteric philosophy and Western Mystery tradition initiation, published by Bear & Company and Inner Traditions International. "Esoteric Egypt: The Sacred Science of the Land of Khem" (2015) examines the metaphysical framework attributed to ancient Egyptian, Greek and Celtic thought, arguing for shared underlying concepts across these traditions. "Land of the Fallen Star Gods: The Celestial Origins of Ancient Egypt" (2013) offers a reinterpretation of Egyptian civilization's origins, drawing on astrophysical and archaeological material to argue against a purely gradual development. "The Path of Initiation: Spiritual Evolution and the Restoration of the Western Mystery Tradition" (2013) traces the stages of spiritual initiation from aspirant to adept and the psychological work associated with each stage. The books address readers with an existing interest in esoteric history and initiatory tradition rather than mainstream Egyptology.
