About the author
Imelda Almqvist writes on shamanism, sacred art and Northern European spirituality, publishing consistently with Moon Books. Her titles include "Natural Born Shamans," a guide to doing shamanic and spiritual work with children and young people from infancy through age eighteen; "Sacred Art – A Hollow Bone for Spirit," which traces the relationship between art-making and shamanic practice across cultures and historical periods; "Medicine of the Imagination," an argument for imagination as a tool for facing personal and collective shadow material; "North Sea Water in My Veins," a study reconstructing pre-Christian spirituality in the Netherlands, Belgium and the German border region; and "Portals, Patterns, and Pathways," aimed at rune practitioners and myth-makers. Taken together, the books form a body of work for readers interested in shamanic practice, sacred art and the reconstruction of northern European pre-Christian traditions, rather than in a single narrow technique.
