About the author
Ian Warner is the author of two reference books on Wade pottery, "The World of Wade Whimsies" (2008) and "The World of Wade Ireland" (2007), both published by Schiffer Publishing. The books catalogue the miniature ceramic figurines and giftware produced by the Wade potteries of England and Ireland from the 1950s onward, tracing the various Whimsies sets and the Irish factory's tankards, tableware, decanters and ashtrays through hundreds of color photographs. Warner's work is aimed squarely at collectors: it functions as an identification and reference guide rather than a narrative history, helping readers date pieces, recognize variations and understand how the ranges developed across decades of production. Anyone building or researching a Wade collection will find these two volumes a practical starting point.
