About the author
Amit Goswami is a theoretical physicist, professor emeritus at the University of Oregon's Institute of Theoretical Science, and a proponent of what he calls 'quantum activism,' the idea that consciousness, not matter, is the primary ground of reality, with implications for science, medicine, and everyday life. He is known for The Self-Aware Universe and, in this catalogue, for books including Physics of the Soul, which applies his quantum framework to questions of living, dying, and reincarnation, and God Is Not Dead, which argues that quantum physics can be read as compatible with religious and spiritual questions about origins and purpose. The Quantum Doctor extends the same ideas to medicine, arguing for an integrative approach that combines conventional treatment with attention to consciousness. Goswami's work sits at the boundary between physics and metaphysics and is written for general readers rather than physicists.
