About the author
Frankie Castanea, known online as "Chaotic Witch Aunt," writes contemporary guides to witchcraft for Amber Lotus Publishing. Spells for Change: A Guide for Modern Witches (2022) covers spellwork aimed at everyday goals, from justice spells to protective charms, framed as tools for a new generation of practitioners. Ancestral Magic: A Modern Witch's Guide to Folk Traditions & Reconnection (2025) turns to ancestral folk practices, addressing how readers might work with family history and generational patterns through ritual. Castanea writes from a personal and informal voice rather than a scholarly one, drawing on their own experience of reconnecting with ancestral practice. The books are aimed at readers newer to witchcraft who want an accessible, contemporary entry point rather than historical or comparative material.
