About the author
Frank DeMarco is a writer and co-founder of Hampton Roads Publishing Company, an American publisher of spiritual and metaphysical titles. His own books extend from that background into first-person accounts of consciousness beyond ordinary experience. Rita's World (2015), published by Rainbow Ridge, presents a series of conversations DeMarco recorded with Rita Warren, a friend and collaborator, continued after her death through what the book frames as communication with the non-physical. Muddy Tracks (2003, Hampton Roads Publishing Company) is a memoir-style account of DeMarco's own explorations into altered states and non-ordinary reality. Both books are written in a personal, narrative register rather than as instructional manuals, aimed at readers already interested in questions of survival after death and alternative states of consciousness. DeMarco writes from decades inside the publishing side of this field as much as from personal practice.
