About the author
Emily Raij writes nonfiction for young readers on ghosts and paranormal investigation, with three titles from Capstone Press. Ghosts of the Rich and Famous surveys reported hauntings attributed to deceased musicians and actors, inviting readers to weigh the accounts for themselves. The Most Haunted Places in the United States moves state by state through sites associated with historical violence and frequent reported hauntings, framing the material as a tour of the country's most-cited haunted locations. Tracking Ghosts turns to the practical side of the subject, describing the tools and methods used by ghost hunters to gather and examine evidence. Across all three, Raij keeps the tone light and the material framed as open to interpretation rather than settled fact, matching the school and library audience the Capstone format is built for, and the books work well together as an introductory set on ghost lore, haunted geography and ghost-hunting practice.
