About the author
Dwayne Claud is the author of a set of regional ghost-hunting guides focused on upstate New York, most published by Schiffer Publishing. Ghosts of Southern Tier, NY (2010), Haunted Finger Lakes (2009), and Rochester Haunts: A Ghost Hunting Guide (2008) work through named towns, cemeteries, and buildings, pairing local history with reported hauntings such as unexplained noises at the Bristol Town Hall and photographs said to change at Woodlawn Cemetery. An earlier title, Baptism by Fire (2007), was published independently through Western New York Paranormal, the investigative group Claud is associated with. Across the four books the approach stays consistent: site-by-site accounts meant to be read alongside an actual visit, aimed at readers touring New York's Southern Tier, Finger Lakes, and Rochester region rather than at students of paranormal theory.
