About the author
Devin Hunter is an American Witch and author published primarily by Llewellyn Publications, where his books have become staples of contemporary witchcraft writing. His catalogue spans The Witch's Book of Spirits (2017) and The Witch's Book of Mysteries (2019), which address spirit work and psychic development, through to Modern Witch (2020) and Crystal Magic for the Modern Witch (2022), which focus on ritual practice and mineral correspondences. His two most recent titles, Houseplant Hortocculture (2024) and The Bad Vibes Field Guide (2025), extend his practical approach to plant magic and energetic troubleshooting. Hunter writes for both beginning and experienced practitioners, favoring step-by-step procedures over abstract theory. His books are frequently blurbed by other Llewellyn authors in the witchcraft space, reflecting his standing within that publishing community.
