About the author
David Wilcock is an American writer and self-described researcher known for New York Times bestselling books that combine claims about extraterrestrial contact, ancient civilizations, and consciousness studies with popular science framing. His breakthrough book, The Source Field Investigations (Penguin, 2012), tied the 2012 prophecy phenomenon to broader claims about hidden science and lost civilizations. He followed it with The Synchronicity Key (Dutton, 2014), The Ascension Mysteries, and Awakening in the Dream: Contact with the Divine (Penguin, 2021), which describes what he presents as telepathic contact connected to dreams, channeling, and higher-self communication. Wilcock has built a large following through these books and related online video series, positioning himself within the UFO-research and ascension-themed corner of contemporary alternative spirituality. His books are aimed at readers already interested in these subjects rather than newcomers seeking a skeptical overview.
