About the author
Coby Michael writes about the poison path, a strand of herbalism centered on baneful and psychoactive plants used historically in witchcraft and folk medicine. His books for Destiny Books and Park Street Press, including The Poison Path Herbal, The Poison Path Grimoire, and The Poison Path Oracle, cover nightshades, entheogens, and ritual plant work, tracing correspondences, formulas, and the divinatory and spiritual practices built around toxic and visionary botanicals. Herbal Magic for Dummies broadens the scope to plant magic traditions beyond the European and Wiccan frameworks that dominate much of the genre. A Spanish translation, Herbolario de la Senda de los Venenos, extends the poison path material to Spanish-language readers. Across the catalogue, Michael's books are aimed at practitioners of herbalism and ceremonial magic with a specific interest in the darker, more hazardous end of the plant world, presented with formularies and historical context rather than general self-help.
