About the author
Chani Nicholas is an astrologer and writer known for bringing astrology into conversations about self-acceptance, social justice, and collective healing. She built a wide following through her online horoscopes before publishing You Were Born for This: Astrology for Radical Self-Acceptance (HarperOne), a New York Times bestseller that explains how a birth chart can be read as a tool for understanding one's own nature rather than predicting fixed outcomes. Nicholas also co-founded the CHANI astrology app, extending her approach to a broader audience through daily readings and courses. Her writing favors an affirming, non-deterministic reading of the birth chart, treating astrology as a language for self-reflection rather than fortune-telling. You Were Born for This remains her best-known book and the clearest statement of her method for readers new to astrology as well as long-time practitioners.
