About the author
Brian Allan is a researcher and author working across paranormal and occult subjects. I Cast Thee Out: Poltergeists, Possession and Exorcism (Fortean Words, 2015) surveys accounts and beliefs surrounding demonic possession and exorcism, drawn from Allan's own research into the range of opinion on the subject. The Heretics: Past and Present (Axis Mundis Books, 2010) takes a wider scope, covering the occult, UFO reports, and other unexplained phenomena, and presents perspectives Allan describes as not yet widely accepted in mainstream science. Both books reflect a long-running interest in unconventional and unresolved topics at the edge of accepted explanation, written from the position of an independent investigator rather than an academic. They suit readers drawn to broad surveys of paranormal and occult claims rather than a single focused case study.
