About the author
Astrea Taylor is a Wiccan writer and practitioner whose books for Llewellyn Publications focus on the practical craft of witchcraft rather than its history or theory. Air Magic (2021), part of Llewellyn's Elements of Witchcraft series, works through the element of air using spells, rituals, meditations and correspondences intended to strengthen a practitioner's connection to it. Her earlier book, Intuitive Witchcraft: How to Use Intuition to Elevate Your Craft (2020), centers on trusting inner perception as a tool for developing magical practice, built around exercises and worked examples rather than abstract instruction. Both books share a consistent approach: structured, exercise-based guidance meant to be used rather than simply read, aimed at practitioners looking to deepen an existing craft rather than newcomers encountering witchcraft for the first time. Taylor has also contributed to other Llewellyn publications on seasonal and elemental witchcraft.
