About the author
Ashleen O'Gaea is a Wiccan author and longtime figure in American Pagan community writing, best known for Family Wicca, first published more than a decade before its revised and expanded edition of 2006 and recognized as one of the earliest books written specifically for Wiccan parents raising children within the tradition. The book addresses the practical questions of Neo-Pagan family life: how to introduce children to Wiccan principles and practice them as a household. Her companion title, Celebrating the Seasons of Life: Samhain to Ostara (2004), takes a broader view of half the Wheel of the Year, favoring an integrated look across several Sabbats over separate holiday-by-holiday treatment. Both books, published by New Page Books, are written for practicing Wiccans rather than newcomers, with a consistent focus on lived, everyday practice: how the tradition's rituals and seasonal observances fit into ordinary family and community life rather than solitary or purely ceremonial magic.
