About the author
Alex Grey is an American visionary artist best known for the Sacred Mirrors series, a set of paintings that maps the human body through its physical, energetic, and spiritual systems, moving from anatomically detailed renderings toward more symbolic images such as Universal Mind Lattice. Sacred Mirrors: The Visionary Art of Alex Grey and the retrospective volume Transfigurations, published by Inner Traditions and also released in a Spanish edition as Transfiguraciones, collect this work alongside essays by figures including philosopher Ken Wilber and art critic Donald Kuspit, and a foreword by Albert Hofmann. Grey has also produced meditation card sets, such as Sacred Mirrors Cards, pairing his imagery with guided reflections and poetry. His art draws on psychedelic and mystical visionary traditions and has become closely associated with contemporary visionary and sacred art more broadly. The catalogue includes both English and Spanish editions of his major books, reflecting wide international interest in his work.
