My book club chose this last month. Solid binding, decent paper — holds up to heavy use. The symbolism is layered and generous to patient readers. Glad I finally picked this up.
Ewing successfully bridges two distinct modalities, offering a clear roadmap for integrating Reiki and shamanic journeying. The text is grounded in extensive practical experience rather than mere speculation, making it a robust resource for those eager to deepen their clinical or personal healing practice. However, readers seeking rigorous academic anthropology or strict traditionalist shamanism may find the approach too syncretic or loosely structured. It is not suited for skeptics requiring empirical scientific validation, nor for purists who view energy modalities as entirely separate domains. This is a functional manual for practitioners ready to embrace intuitive expansion.
