Celtic Crystal Magick: Volume One Stones for Healing
A guide to using gemstones in ancient Celtic healing practices by Lisa Chamberlain.
Lisa Chamberlain examines the spiritual significance of specific minerals within the context of early Celtic religion and folklore. She connects each stone to particular deities, spirits, and natural forces revered by druids and pagan communities in Ireland and Britain. The work emphasizes the historical continuity of these beliefs, showing how ancient peoples viewed crystals as living entities with distinct personalities and powers. Chamberlain provides detailed profiles of stones such as quartz, amethyst, and jasper, explaining their roles in divination, protection, and healing rituals. She references primary sources including the Book of Invasions and various medieval manuscripts to support her interpretations. The book also discusses the geometric properties of crystals and their resonance with human energy fields. Chamberlain argues that understanding the original Celtic context enhances the effectiveness of modern magical work. Her approach combines scholarly research with practical advice for contemporary practitioners who wish to honor traditional methods.
This 2002 publication by iUniverse situates itself within the revival of interest in pre-Christian European spirituality. It draws on historical records from Ireland and Britain to reconstruct ancient Celtic magick practices, bridging the gap between archaeological findings and modern esoteric application.

Was skeptical at first. Every rereading turns up something I missed.
My third book from this store and this one might be the best. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. Would buy from this store again.
Exactly what I was looking for. The typesetting is comfortable for study, with good margins for notes. I found myself reading passages aloud just to sit with them. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text. Solid, if not essential.
